Coachella unofficial first lineup for 2009

We at Music Universe have always mentioned how we only talk about music, gigs, festivals, albums, etc that YOU should be surrounded by. Well, today the hot buzz around the watercooler in the office that none of us are at, is all about Coachella '09! This is probably in the top 3 festivals in the USA for us at Music Universe. Now, this is NOT the fake lineup, but the REAL lineup. Coachella.com is keeping quiet on the subject, but Music Universe can confirm this list and expect an announcement in a few days.

Let's look at the "Confirmed" list:

The Hold Steady
The Killers
No Age
Noah And The Whale
Late Of The Pier
Los Campesinos!
Peanut Butter Wolf

Tinariwen

And now for something a little more speculative, here's the internet-sanctioned list of rumored artists.

Animal Collective
Basement Jaxx
The Black Keys
Black Lips
Blur
Britney Spears
The Comedians of Comedy
Four Tet
The Gaslight Anthem
Glasvegas
Gui Boratto
Gus Black
Heartless Bastards
Hot Little Pony

Keane
KONGCRETE
Mexican Institute of Sound

Not bad, Mr Internet, not bad at all. But as always it needs Radiohead.

One thing that is %120 fair and true is that Coachella dates have been bumped up a week this year, spanning Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April. No ticket info yet.
