Gomez 'A New Tide' Australian tour

We have a sneaking suspicion that Gomez enjoy Australia. They've been in Australia seven times since their thirteen year existence. Only. Most recently here for the Falls Festival over the new year period.

So, this time they're coming to promote new album 'A New Tide', released back in March this year. It's the bands sixth album and their follow up to their fantastic 'How We Operate' album.

With seven albums under their belts, Gomez clearly have a back catalogue big enough to allow them to play a 24hr gig if they wanted too. One can only hope that they will play a lot of their well known smash hits.

Tickets go on sale Monday 3 August.

Thursday October 22 – METRO THEATRE, SYDNEY
Saturday October 24 – ANU BAR, ANU, CANBERRA
Sunday October 25 – HI FI BAR AND BALLROOM, BRISBANE
Wednesday October 28 – HI FI BAR AND BALLROOM, MELBOURNE
Friday October 30 – THE GOV, ADELAIDE
Saturday October 31 – FLY BY NIGHT, FREMANTLE
Sunday November 1 – FLY BY NIGHT, FREMANTLE

Gomez play 10th anniversary special gigs

People, let's celebrate Gomez's tenth anniversary in style. The Sheffield boys will play three rare dates in Australia next January. In conjunction with their separate tour with The Black Keys and Dr Dog (as well as festival appearances), Gomez will play its landmark debut 'Bring It On' in its entirety in Sydney and Melbourne. Meanwhile Adelaide gets the regular free-ranging Gomez show.

'Bring It On' scored the Mercury Prize back in 1998, generating sing-along singles like 'Free To Ride' and 'Whippin Piccadilly'. However, fans will not miss out on their other fine albums because Gomez have promised other highlights from their back catalogue too.

Die-hard fans of Gomez will not want to miss these 10-year anniversary shows. Tickets on sale now.

Fri 2 Jan – The Gov, Adelaide (with Epicure – regular Gomez show)
Sat 10 Jan – The Metro, Sydney ('Bring It On' in its entirety)
Tues 13 Jan – Gershwin Room, The Espy, Melbourne ('Bring It On' in its entirety)

*Don't forget their tour with Black Keys and Dr Dog, as well as a range of festivals. These boys clearly love Australia!

The Black Keys, Gomez and Dr Dog team up for a tour extravaganza

They're back yet again. This summer, the banging blues duo The Black Keys are jumping around Australia, this time with Gomez and Dr Dog. This salvating triple-bill, with each of the bands out here for New Years Eve festivals, is going to be one hell of a show. What a line-up Love Police and Billions have put together.

The Black Keys were last here in June, when they left sold-out venues reeling from a heavy dose of rock ‘n roll. Gomez, too, are no strangers to our shores, having visited us eight times (apparently one of the band members has a house here). Nevertheless, with a show like theirs, they are always welcome to our neck of the woods.

Let's not forget that a part of this stellar touring party is Philidelphia five-piece Dr Dog, who can deliver one hell of a show off the back of their 2008 release, 'Fate'.

We can’t wait to see if they can get all 3 together on the stage for an uber cool medley.

Tickets are on sale now.
