Oasis release snippet of new single 'Shock of the Lightning'

Oasis have released a clip of their new single ‘Shock Of The Lightning’ on YouTube.

The snippet of the track comes at the end of a promotional trailer for their upcoming album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’.

The trailer runs through Oasis’ hits thoughout the years including ‘Lyla’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’.

‘Dig Out Your Soul’ is set for release on October 6 preceded the ‘Shock Of The Lightning’ single on September 29.

The Living End almost quit

The Living End have released their fifth long player 'White Noise'.

And singer Chris Cheney confirmed to Zan that the album nearly didn't happen.

There were a few months following their last big national tour for 'State Of Emergency' where they weren't sure whether the band would continue.

"I was at first thinking that I wasn't really interested in making another record until there was a real want to do it. And so we took six months off or something and didn't do much. I think the other guys were told not to call me. I was really fairly burnt out by the whole thing."

The Living End kick off their 'White Noise' national tour mid-September.

TV On The Radio's new album 'Dear Science,' is set to be released on September 23rd!

Produced by the group’s multi-instrumentalist Dave Sitek, the album finds the Brooklyn group fine-tuning what they did best on 2006’s 'Return to Cookie Mountain' - weaking and looping and distorting a grand arsenal of aggressive percussion, new wave synths, epic guitar noise and various kitchen-sink devices, then layering them all into a big, beautiful art-rock symphony. But of all the instruments on the new record, the most compelling one is Tunde Adebimpe’s voice.

The Streets release 'The Escapist' as new single

This week The Streets released their new single.

It's called 'The Escapist' and it's the first taste of their fourth album due mid-September.

It's taken Mike Skinner two and a half years to finish the record. He's blogged at his myspace that it'll have a peaceful, positive vibe compared to the last release and it's likely to be called 'Everything Is Borrowed'.

Mike also reckons the next Streets album will be the last and that it'll have a dark and futuristic sound, similar to the Lou Reed classic 'Berlin'.
