iForward Russia! call it a day

iForward Russia! have confirmed their indefinite hiatus as a band through a news item posted on their official website.

The band will be playing their last gig at the Brainwash Festival on October 17 in Leeds at the Brudenell Social Club.

“Unfortunately this will be our only gig for the rest of the year, and infact for the forseeable future”, stated the band.

“We have decided to take a break from doing ¡Forward, Russia! - for a lot of different reasons. The idea of doing another tour with nothing new to offer was something that enthused none of us, and the idea of re-booting on a productive strand is something we're not quite ready to face just yet.”

iForward Russia! released their debut album 'Give Me a Wall' marked their LP debut in September 2006. For their second album, 'Life Processes', the band moved to Cooking Vinyl and teamed up with producer Matt Bayles — who also worked with Mastodon and Pearl Jam. The album, which boasted a heavier, more expansive sound than 'Give Me a Wall', was released in April 2008.
