While we’re all busy speculating on the Big Day Out 2009 line-up, another massive tour looks to be brewing. Various reports suggest stadium rock gods Metallica will visit Australia late this year, or early next. The Sydney Morning Herald is touting Acer Arena as their Sydney venue, but no dates have yet been released.
Metallica proved a unanimous show-stopper at the recent Reading and Leeds Festivals, with their ninth studio album 'Death Magnetic' due for an early September release. We last saw the powerhouse band down under for Big Day Out 2004, and their reputation for ball-tearing live shows is still intact. We wait in hope.
