On Sunday 1st March a bunch of Melbourne’s finest musos are getting together at The Corner Hotel to raise money for the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal. If you were hiding in a bunker for the past fortnight, well here's the story. Victoria bascially went up in flames. 201 people have died so far, more are still missing. Thousands of homes have been burnt down, even complete towns have been wiped out. It's Australia's worst bushfire disaster in history. Everyone needs to chip in a bit to help out those who are in desperate need.
Kicking off at 4pm with a BBQ and hosted by Rockwhiz’s Julia Zemiro, the event will see Rocket Science, Kram, The Casanovas, Dave Larkin’s new band The Gun Street Girls, The Basics, The Pictures and The Hot Little Hands all strutting their stuff for the cause.
There will also be a raffle for a Framus electric guitar donated by Dominant Music and for Golden Plains, Of Montreal and Okervil River tickets – plus some other cool bits and pieces. And just to top things off there will be a secret special guest performance by a band who have been on hiatus for some time but were probably last spotted on your living room floor!!!
