V Festival headliners Snow Patrol will be playing three headline sideshows to coincide with their festival appearance come April time. The band released its fifth album, 'A Hundred Million Suns' late last year, earning them a whole lot more cash we guess. When asked about their new record, guitarist Nathan Connolly said that they definitely didn’t want to repeat themselves and made a conscious decision to go somewhere else. Apparent to him, but possibly not to others, so many of the songs are completely new territory.
Snow Patrol have toured Australia a number of times recently, so maybe thats why they aren't playing the arenas anymore. These upcoming shows are a chance to see the guys in slightly more intimate surrounds. They’ll be joined by fellow V Festival drawcard Jenny Lewis, who formerly fronted LA indie heroes Rilo Kiley.
Tickets on sale Monday 23 February.
Mon 30 March – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Wed 1 April – Adelaide Entertainment Centre
Thu 2 April – Palais Theatre, Melbourne
