Florence and The Machine to release debut album 'Lungs'

Florence and the Machine have named their debut album, 'Lungs'.

Music Universe marked this act as one of the top acts to breakthrough in 2009 (click here). They just make beautiful soulful music. We have been listening to their demo's and early release tracks for months now and just salivate at the thought of their debut album.

The record, which is due out in June, has been produced by James Ford and Paul Epworth.

Florence Welch told BBC 6Music that she settled on the title when she “just sort of thought of how when you’re a singer it’s all about controlling your lungs and they become part of your body’s machinery.

“It’s all about controlling your air and they’re so central to singing. I’ve just become really obsessed with them as an image but also they’re kind of weird and fleshy. They’re all over the place.”

The album will also contain a track entitled 'Between Two Lungs'. If you can, do yourself a favour and go and listen to their previously released songs, 'Dog Days Are Over', 'Kiss With A Fist' and even their cover version of Cold War Kid's 'Hospital Beds'.
