Carl Barat has been rushed to hospital complaining of stomach pain.
Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl was admitted to an as-yet undisclosed hospital yesterday morning and has since been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.A statement on the band’s official website reads: 'Carl is being kept under observation until the weekend to undergo further tests and a possible operation.
Barat was due to play the Hackney Round Chapel this Friday (June 20) but the show has now been postponed. Carl and the rest of his Dirty Pretty Things are on tour in support of their latest album 'Romance at Short Notice.'
Acute pancreatitis is most commonly linked to gall stones and alcohol abuse, and recovery can take up to a month.
It is not yet known whether the band will be able to perform at Glastonbury on Sunday June 29.
