Sideshows for Sydney’s Great Escape Festival have already begun trickling in with The New Pornographers announcing some dates this October.
The Vancouver outfit, led by the prodigious A.C. Newman, outdid itself with fourth album 'Challengers' in late 2007. They uprooted from their Canadian studio to record at the Seaside Lounge in Brookyln, taking a more “organic” approach than on previous efforts. As a result, Challengers brims with rich and varied instrumentation from the eight-strong crew.
Tickets go on sale Friday 11 July.

Wednesday 8 October – Rosemount Hotel, Perth
Friday 10 October – The Gov, Adelaide
Saturday 11 October – The Corner, Melbourne
