Chris Martin and the rest of his buddys from Coldplay might be carrying a little less money in their pockets when they come to Australia in February. News just in is that guitar master Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay for plagiarism.
According to Billboard News, Satriani filed his copyright infringement suit in Los Angeles federal court last week. He’s claiming the band’s song 'Viva La Vida' lifts “substantial original portions” of his own track 'If I Could Fly'. The lawsuits seeks damages and any profits relating to the assumed infringement.

The difference is Joe 'probably needs some cash' Satriani is taking it one step further or too far some might say.
