Oasis to play at Benicassim festival

Oasis were today added to the headliners of this year's FIB Heineken Benicassim festival in Spain.

The indie band will join Kings of Leon, Paul Weller and Franz Ferdinand on the Benicassim stage for the four-day event in July. It will take place from July 16th – 19th on the east coast of Spain.

Organisers said more major acts would be announced soon but it was shaping up to be "the best festival in 2009".

Oasis released the album 'Dig Out Your Soul' in 2008. It honestly feels like it's the mid-late Beatles playing. At times even sounding like John Lennon when he went solo. However, it's not The Beatles, it's Oasis. It's Liam and Noel in full voice swinging. 'Dig Out Your Soul' is a worthy and recommended purchase for Oasis and even Beatles fans. Thinking about that sentence, that should basically be around 4 billion people.

Oh yeah and by the way, Oasis will be releasing their latest single 'Falling Down', arguably their best song on the new album, come March 9th.
