Wolfmother to play at the Clipsal 500

Remember that small little Australian band called Wolfmother? Well, after two of the three members packed their bags and left the band, lone survivor and frontman, Andrew Stockdale, has decided to continue on. The reincarnated Wolfmother (Phase 2 as its now known) are set to play a one-off show in March at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. Yep. V8 supercars.

After the dissolution of the original Wolfmother line-up after Splendour In The Grass 2008, there’s been little news on what’s to become of the band. On Sunday 22 March, though, Stockdale and his new personnel will headline the last of four after-race concerts. The other days are fronted by The Living End, The Presets and, weirdly enough, Lee Kernaghan.

“Wolfmother are working on version two,” trumpets the IMC newsletter. “There’s not much we can say right now. Adelaide will be the first to witness the second coming on March 22nd for the Clipsal 500.”

Ummm.......ok.
