The Strokes' drummer Fab Moretti revealed that the band have started work on their fourth album. Music Universe had grown impatient in recent times because of the delay between Strokes albums, but we are pleased this morning after reading this piece of news over our coffees and cigarettes.
Moretti told the BBC that frontman Julian Casablancas was writing songs for the record, which will be the follow-up to 2006's 'First Impressions of Earth'.
"Julian has started writing and Nick has got some material as well,” he said.
“We're the kind of band that it's not finished until everyone's in one room and everyone's got their parts perfectly. We're a very mechanical band."
The Strokes are expected to enter the studio next month to begin recording the album.
