Speaking to Australian radio station Triple J this week, Michael Angelakos, songwriter and producer for Passion Pit, revealed that if you listen closely to the shiny pop songs on their debut album 'Manners' you'll hear lyrics that delve in to some pretty dark themes.
"The idea of hiding behind pop music, you can kind of get your message through in a really interesting way if you hide it. Most people don't really open up and tell people how they're feeling. They just pretend they're doing fine. It's a great exercise, it's very therapeutic."
Michael also informed Australia that Passion Pit will tour the country later this year, probably around November.
