Smashing Pumpkins are tipped to headline the 2nd annual V Festival in Australia, starting March 29, 2008 in Sydney.
Billy Corgan resurrected a new version of the Pumpkins in '07 with fellow original member Jimmy Chamberlain.
In July '07, the Pumpkins released "the comeback album" 'Zeitgeist.
While capturing the sound of the original Smashing Pumpkin, fans have been somewhat guarded of the band because of the exclusion of original bass player D'Arcy Wretzky and guitarist James Iha.
V Festival dates are:
March 29, 2008 – Sydney
March 30, 2008 – Gold Coast
April 5, 2008 – Melbourne
April 6, 2008 – Perth
