Bertie Blackman has just announced a huge national tour following the release of her spanking new album ‘Secrets and Lies’. The tour kicks off in Tasmania, and will see Bertie playing metropolitan and regional shows in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA through July and August.
‘Secrets and Lies’ was released on May 8th with hit single 'Heart' being one of the most downloaded singles of the week ever on iTunes. After a short tour last month, Bertie will take the live show to the rest of the country as she releases her second single, ‘Thump’.
The hype surrounding Bertie has been immense, yet justified. Easily being one of the best female talents in Australia right now, Bertie's voice is seductive and mesmerizing. 'Secrets and Lies' is definitely one of the contending albums to make Music Universe's 'Best of 2009' list.
'Thump' was produced by Sydney-based UK producer, Lee Groves (Goldfrapp/Depeche Mode) and mixed by Dave Bascome (Tears for Fears/Royksopp) in the UK. The single will be available in store and online from August 7th.
