Matisyahu is returning to Australia this August. He was last here in 2006 thrilling fans at a bunch of sold out headline shows along the East Coast, and a performance before thousands at Splendour In The Grass. He will be supported this time round by Snob Scrilla.
His return coincides with the release of his third album 'Light' (in store August 7). Recorded with David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Regina Spektor) across Jamaica and the USA. Reports suggest that this new album sees Matisyahu blend infectious melodies with classic messages of hope, peace and understanding, creating a sound that is undeniably his own. First single ‘One Day’ is another reggae infused song, which illustrates Matisyahu at his ultimate best.
Even those who've never heard of him should get their butts down to the show. Matisyahu has the ability to captivate the audience with his uplifting and powerful performances. Matisyahu’s debut tour of Australia saw attendees converted by his unique musical outlay. Expect the crowd to be filled with both Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Scientologists and possibly Jehovah's Witnesses. Matisyahu's music and live performances bring all walks of life together.
