Coldplay announce Australian tour for 2009

*I just had to put this picture of Coldplay in today. I love how they each look like they're posing for a different camera or these are the Coldplay models from the Madame Tussad's Wax Museum.

After much speculation and waiting, music giants Coldplay is returning here in late February for a run of stadium ala Kings of Leonesque shows.

Arguably the biggest band in the world right now, released the Brian Eno-produced 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' earlier this year and what an album it was. More than likely it will feature in Music Universe's Best Albums of 2008 list (coming soon!!), but it's their repertoire of mesmerising hits that will make this tour one not to miss. On each visit to Australia, Coldplay has been met with arms wide open by their adoring fans. Wisely, for their 2009 tour they’ve announced back to back nights in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. The fans in Adelaide will not be pleased. Hopefully either they will announce your city soon or we expect Chris Martin will receive emails asking for him to pay for some airfares.

Coldplay play the following shows in early 2009.

Tickets on sale Thursday 4 December.

Fri 27 February – Burswood Dome, Perth
Tue 3 & Wed 4 March – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Sun 8 & Mon 9 March – Brisbane Entertainment Centre
Wed 11 & Thu 12 March – Acer Arena, Sydney
