Scottish band Frightened Rabbit is confirmed to play Woodford Folk in Queensland (Dec 27 to Jan 1). It’s the first appearance in Australia by the band, which currently has its second album “The Midnight Organ Fight” out. Festival Director Bill Hauritz said 'It is rare that we would have an international act in a headlining show but when we discovered them at South by Southwest in Texas we couldn’t resist, such is their quality.”
Also appearing at the festival will be the likes of Augie March, Ash Grunwald, Bob Evans, Jackson Jackson, Josh Pyke, Lior, The Black Seeds, The Boat People, The Herd, True Live and a ridiculous amount more.
Located in between the Brisbane Valley and Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the Woodford Folk Festival takes place in a rural valley surrounded by natural bushland with plenty of native wildlife and a superb view of the Glass House Mountains from the hill-top above the festival grounds. The festival is about an hour and a half drive north of Brisbane, or 40 minutes west of Caloundra or an hour south of Noosa.
