No Age and Jay Reatard team up for shows

Two of Laneway Festival’s most exciting bookings are teaming up together for sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne. Both Jay Reatard and No Age have released some cutting egde albums recently and apparently both offer raging live shows.

No Age’s 'Nouns' is a certain contender to make Music Universe's Best Albums of 2008 list. They’ve also made a habit of playing really warped gigs ranging from rallying crowds on the banks of Los Angeles River, one in an Ethiopian restaurant and another amongst the books at the Los Angeles Central Library.

Don't you worry about one-man sensation Jay Reatard for he is on par with them. He appeared earlier this year at Golden Plains and for all those that were there, only the word 'jealous' comes to mind. Apparently his manic live show requires you to give your undivided attention for 100% of his time, but trust, it's worth it. Watch a live video of Jay Reatard's 'My Shadow' here.

No Age and Jay Reatard take time out from the Laneway Festival tour to play these shows in January. Tickets on sale Friday 28 November.

Thursday 29 January – The Gaelic Club, Sydney
Friday 30 January – The Corner Hotel, Melbourne
