Kings of Leon announce stadium tour of Australia

Get ready people – the Kings of Leon are heading back to Australia. Following much speculation that they would be returning to our shores to play the Big Day Out, our favourite indie-southerners have confirmed they will instead be playing their first ever headline shows dowunder this March.

Also, without surprise, they will be playing the stadium/arena shows thanks to their new 'Only By The Night' stadium (U2) sounding album. All that bloody time spent on the Nova airwaves means a venue upgrade for the Nashville lads. It kills me and the rest of the staff that they have in a sense sold out. If you really are a keen fan of the Kings of Leon then you will know how bad this 4th album is compared to their first 3. If you don't know about their first 3 albums, then do yourself a really big favour and go out and listen to them somehow. Their best album is their first album 'Youth and Young Manhood', which came at a time when the boys were still chewing on hay, wore overalls and hadn't been touched by The Strokes PR department yet.

Anyway, this gig will still be great as long as they play their classics. I will say this though, there is a couple of killer tracks off their newest album such as 'Sex is On Fire' and 'Crawl', so it's not a complete disaster.
