A Morrissey fan site called 'True To You' has announced that the ex -Smiths frontman is going to be heading to Australia in January 2009.
Now is this true you ask? You be the judge.
Well, the webzine posted the news on the 2nd October and it simply states, “Morrissey will play his first concerts of 2009 in New Zealand. January shows are booked in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Dunedin. From here, Morrissey will travel to Australia where concerts are booked in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide”.
Rumours have gone off the hook since the announcement with some suggesting The Sydney Music festival will be one, others thinking that Nick Cave will announce him for the All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
If this is a prank, it's a very silly, dagger-to-the-heart joke.
