In case you weren't already aware, Nick Cave and his comrades - The Bad Seeds, have had an overwhelming success with their monumental fourteenth album, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! The critics have been nearly universal in their praise; with a score of 87 on the review-aggregating website Metacritic, 'Dig' is the fifth best-reviewed record of the year and has been nominated as Australian Album of the Year by the Triple J Awards. Nick also picked up an award for 'Best Male Solo' and they probably should've won the 'Album of The Year' award if it wasn't for the 'let's look like we're cool and with it' ARIA judges.
Let's not forget that they also picked up a MOJO Award already Best Album of 2008, beating out the likes of Radiohead and Robert Plant & Alison Kraus) and two Q Award nominations (Best Album and Best Live Act). Anyway, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are preparing for an Australian assault. Following an epic run through Europe and their first North American tour in almost six years, capped by an historic headline performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, the band now announces an exclusive and intimate tour. This will be followed by their headline appearances at, and curation of, several All Tomorrow’s Parties festival-style events.
