Well aren't Future Entertainment on a roll this week. Just days after announcing NeverEverLand (which we're still licking our lips over), Future Entertainment have announced that Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo will bring their N*E*R*D live act to Australia in March 2009, for their first ever ‘major concert tour’.
Set to play shows in Sydney and Melbourne, N*E*R*D’s tour comes after a huge year in 2008 with the release of their third album 'Seeing Sounds'. Outside of N*E*R*D Williams and Hugo have a well established reputation as production outfit The Neptunes, having worked on all manner of chart smashing rap, RnB, pop and rock hits. Pharrell was once asked what N*E*R*D stood for and here's what he had to say..."What is N*E*R*D? N*E*R*D stands for No-one Ever Really Dies. The Neptunes are who we are and N*E*R*D is what we do. It's our life. N*E*R*D is just a basic belief, man. People's energies are made of their souls. When you die, that energy may disperse but it isn't destroyed" Ok Pharrell.
We at Music Universe have to get this off our chests though. N*E*R*D's first single off their latest recording is called 'Everyone Nose' and we believe it is without a doubt the worst song of the year. No diss to N*E*RD or their fans because most of their other music is sweet, but how can you make a song where the chorus's lyrics are "All the girls waiting in the line for the bathroom". Dumbest words, dumbest song, just plain dumb. Comment down below if you can think of any other 'dumb' songs you've heard before.
